Every year, 1.4 million men are diagnosed with prostate cancer globally, which creates a need for more than 2 million biopsy analyses a year. With the ability to reduce unnecessary suffering through more precise treatment decisions, both doctors and, not least, patients will prefer this solution.

With current pricing of between €400 and €1,000 per analysis, the commercial opportunities are considerable. With a marginal market share and initially defensive pricing – to make the technology available to more people – the potential is favourable, and the solution is scalable for strong expansion.

Spearpoint Analytics generates revenue through:

• A second opinion service directly to patients (B2C) – launched in 2025
• Licences to clinics and laboratories for regular clinical use (B2B) – once IVDR approval is in place
• Expansion to the EU and the USA – planned from 2026

Through our share issue in 2023, the foundation was laid for the launch of PCAI on the Swedish market. Here we are creating a solid base for building the organisation and securing broader expansion to the EU and the USA.

With our partners such as Martini-Klinik in Hamburg and Akademiska sjukhuset in Uppsala, and with publication in Medical Image Analysis (November 2025), Spearpoint has established a credible position in the medical world. PCAI's advantages have been highlighted in scientific articles in leading medical journals, where we have shown the technology to be superior compared with the older Gleason method built on human assessment. The ambition is to continue developing PCAI with further parameters (PSA, PI-RADS, age) for even more individualised diagnostics. We also see opportunities to expand the technology to other cancer areas, which further broadens the potential market and impact.
